would it be wrong? [Nov. 16th, 2011|01:33 pm]

To start out a secrit cross over campagn by giving the PC's dormant metagenetics w/o telling the players at creation and then haveing them randomly roll to see what lvl if any changes they experiance when the mana storm transports them else were.

I might ask the PCs if they would be willing to embark on a campaign with some surprises.

I think it sounds hella fun, but I agree that asking first if a few surprises are okay. Players can get rather possessive about their characters.

Or if they're uneasy with it, transport them back before too long.

well, the game I've been think of doing would be a 2 party affair, it just starts with the SR group going to the forgotten realms - the other way would just get that group really really dead

I'm not sure that "possessive" is a strong enough word.
I am actually a player first and it would certainly have to be presented as a "serprise campaign"
Its a lot more interesting to do a cross-over that way. When players know whats going down they tend to build with that "other" game world in mind and the idea would be to put SR's into the world not SR based pc's with teck knowledge that fit with the sckeem of things.
